Graduate FAQs

  • Once I have applied for the GREP program vacancy, how long will I have to wait to hear if my application has been successful?

    This will vary, however the recruitment team for the program you have applied for will aim to get back to you regarding the status of your application as soon as possible.

  • What is the assessment process for the GREP program?

    It could include any of the following: a telephone interview, a face-to-face interview, a technical based interview and/or an assessment center.

  • How can I find out about the status of my application?

    Once you have applied you will automatically receive an email to notify you that your application has been received. As soon as a decision has been made regarding the status of your application, a member of the recruitment team will be in touch.

  • Do you accept applications from candidates who require a work permit?

    If you require a work permit to be a part of one of our programs, please contact the hiring manager for the program that you are applying for. 

  • Will I be reimbursed for any travel expenses incurred for my interview with GKN?

    Yes, we will reimburse reasonable travel expenses if you are invited to attend an assessment center. You will receive further details regarding the process for claiming back these expenses in your invitation.

  • What is the starting salary for Powder Metallurgy’s graduate program?

    This varies depending on the region and the function. Powder Metallurgy offers competitive packages and in addition, we offer opportunities for personal growth and career advancement.

  • If I receive an offer from Powder Metallurgy, when should I expect to start?

    A recommended start date will be suggested in the official offer. However, there is some flexibility and a start date should be confirmed prior to you accepting the offer.
