FORECAST 3D offers versatile Polypropylene material for production volume

FORECAST 3D, a GKN Powder Metallurgy company, has added HP 3D High Reusability PP, enabled by BASF, to its range of Additive Manufacturing materials. Customers can expect polypropylene’s physical properties for injection molding processes while benefiting from the fast and flexible product development and production of Additive Manufacturing.

3D High Reusability PP was specifically developed and qualified for use with HP’s Jet Fusion 5200 3D Series. As one of the largest capacity holders of HP production-grade 3D printing systems, FORECAST 3D services over 30 Jet Fusion 5200 3D Series printers and the addition of this material strategically fits into the expansion of their material portfolio.

The versatile, durable, and chemically resistant material provides the ideal balance between performance and cost for HP's Jet Fusion 5200 3D series.

“The ability to produce with polypropylene on the HP 5200 series further expands our capabilities and material choices for customers,” said Ken Burns, VP of Sales and Marketing for FORECAST 3D. “We are excited to bring the benefits of polypropylene to our production-volume customers that allows them to have an alternative to injection molding.”

HP characterizes 3D High Reusability PP as a versatile, durable, chemically resistant material that is ideal for customers in the automotive, consumer, industrial, and medical sectors who seek an optimal balance between performance and cost. The material reduces waste by enabling up to 100% reusability of surplus powder.
